Individuals who run a website or blog on a non-professional basis may do so anonymously or under a pseudonym.

 

As of today, the site does not offer any paid services. WHITE MASTERING provides its services pro bono to emerging artists, upon request and subject to acceptance.

 

I refuse to master music generated by artificial intelligence.
The use of virtual instruments, however, is accepted.
For your information, distributors and Apple Music are now detecting AI-generated music. It is therefore pointless to spend time mastering such creations, which exploit the work of real artists and will, in any case, eventually be rejected.

ARTICLE 1: Purpose

These general terms and conditions define the rights and obligations of WHITE MASTERING, a structure acting voluntarily in the field of audio mastering, mixing, music production, and technical consulting, and any individual or entity requesting these services, hereafter referred to as the "Client".
Requesting a service from WHITE MASTERING implies full acceptance of these terms, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.
These conditions apply to all services provided on a non-commercial basis, free of charge, and for artistic, educational, or friendly purposes only.

ARTICLE 2: Communication and Messages

The Client agrees to provide a valid and functional email address for the duration of the collaboration.
They are responsible for ensuring that messages from WHITE MASTERING are not blocked by their email system.
Any communication sent to the provided email address will be considered received.

ARTICLE 3: Service Requests

Service requests must be made through the communication methods provided by WHITE MASTERING (email, messaging, etc.).
Acceptance of a project is at WHITE MASTERING’s discretion, depending on availability and the nature of the project. There is no obligation to accept any request.
All information provided by the Client must be accurate. WHITE MASTERING cannot be held responsible for any delays or errors caused by incorrect information.

ARTICLE 4: Non-Profit Nature of the Activity

WHITE MASTERING operates on a non-professional and free basis, with no invoicing or commercial intent.
No payment will be required, except in rare cases involving participation in technical costs (e.g., professional studio booking, travel), as agreed in advance with the Client.

ARTICLE 5: Delivery

Audio files will be delivered via download link (cloud platform, private link, etc.) to the provided email address.
WHITE MASTERING does not commit to long-term file storage. Clients are advised to back up delivered files upon receipt.
Deliveries are made within a reasonable time frame depending on volunteer availability, with no strict deadline guarantee.

ARTICLE 6: Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond its control (unavailability, illness, technical issues, etc.), WHITE MASTERING reserves the right to postpone or cancel a service without compensation.

ARTICLE 7: Use of the Website or Digital Media

Use of any website or page linked to WHITE MASTERING is subject to these conditions and applicable French law.
Content is provided for informational or demonstrative purposes only, with no commercial intent.

ARTICLE 8: Reproduction Rights and Credit

The Client is free to distribute the finalized tracks but is respectfully encouraged to include the credit:
"Mastering voluntarily provided by WHITE MASTERING" in the work’s credits.
WHITE MASTERING does not claim copyright on the processed works but reserves the right to mention collaborations for non-commercial demonstration purposes.

ARTICLE 9: Cancellation and Modifications

The Client may withdraw a request at any time.
WHITE MASTERING may likewise interrupt or refuse a service without justification. No obligation of result is imposed in this volunteer-based activity.
Adjustments can be requested within 7 days after initial delivery. Beyond that, revisions are not guaranteed.

ARTICLE 10: Data Protection

The information provided by the Client (email, audio files, etc.) is used solely for the purpose of the service.
No data is shared or used for other purposes. The Client may request the deletion of their data at any time.

ARTICLE 11: General Provisions

These conditions may be modified at any time without notice.
They fall under French law but do not imply any contractual commercial or professional framework.
Any issues will be addressed in a spirit of mutual respect and open dialogue.
